The Kat of Irem Zhat al Imad
A commoner from the mercantile port district of Irem Zhat al Imad, Khadija is a seamstress' daughter and grew up along the dockside canals. Her path was always below those of fair and noble heart who served the Noor or followed the Blessed Umm, her story being one of the royal city's working class. Always a bit of a tomboy, of fairer skin and taller than her compatriots, she did gain a certain youthful reputation for forcefully solving her childhood disputes. After breaking a few wrong noses - despite for the right reasons - she was taken under wing and mentored in the proper use her natural skills. Following, then a rough and tumble young lady, she began to work the city docks and there a childhood nickname became her tile. The captain of a foreign ship could rest assured if the Kitten of Irem Zhat al Imad was protecing his cargo from the silver daggered rats of the Thieve's Guild. As all Kittens must grow up, she eventually parlayed her experience to berths upon the ships themselves and while having a Kat aboard might not make one proof against the Minosan pirates, it sometimes made them think twice. Eventually, after almost a decade at sea, she and her duffle arrived upon the docks of Amber. Here, beneath the shadow of Kolvir, she has been adopted by House Mandrake, serving her Duchess as personal bodyguard and dogsbody.
